The Antonov An-2, also known as the "Colt", is a Soviet-era single-engine biplane known for its versatility, ruggedness, and exceptional short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities. It was designed for agricultural, utility, and light transport roles. Production started in 1947 and continued for over 50 years, with over 18,000 aircraft built, making it one of the longest-produced aircraft in history. Over 18,000 Antonov An-2's have been built to date.
