Boeing VC-25 Air Force One

The Boeing VC-25 is the designation given to two highly modified Boeing 747-200B aircraft that serve as the primary presidential air transport for the United States. When the President is aboard either of these aircraft, or any other Air Force aircraft, the radio call sign is "Air Force One".

The VC-25A has a length of 231 feet, 10 inches and a wingspan of 195 feet, 8 inches. It is powered by four General Electric CF6-80C2B1 engines, each providing 56,700 pounds of thrust. The aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight of 833,000 pounds and can reach a speed of 630 mph. Its ceiling is 45,100 feet and it has a range of 7,800 statute miles. The crew complement is 30, and it can carry over 70 passengers. Each VC-25A cost $325 million, and there are two in the inventory, located at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
