◦ Light early: Burn your candle 20–30 minutes before heading outdoors to allow the citronella fragrance to disperse.
◦ Use multiple candles: For larger patios or yards, place several candles around your seating area for better coverage.
◦ Place some candles on the ground: Mosquitoes often fly close to the ground, so placing candles on a flat, nonflammable surface around the perimeter of your seating area can help create a more effective scent barrier. For best results, use a combination of ground-level and tabletop placement.
◦ Keep them nearby: Position candles around the perimeter of where you'll be sitting rather than far away.
