Installation Instructions

1. Preparation:
   • Ensure the installation site is clean, dry, and has sufficient ventilation.
   • Verify that the power supply matches the pump's electrical requirements (.5 HP motor, 60 Hz, 3500 RPM).
   • Ensure all piping and fittings are compatible with the pump's inlet and discharge sizes (1" NPT).
2. Mounting:
   • Secure the pump on a stable, level surface to prevent vibrations during operation.
   • If the pump has a support bracket (14+ stages), ensure it is mounted approximately 4 inches from the discharge for added stability.
3. Piping Connections:
   • Connect the suction pipe to the inlet, ensuring an airtight seal to prevent cavitation.
   • Connect the discharge pipe to the outlet, ensuring proper alignment to avoid stress on the pump housing.
   • Install a check valve and isolation valves on both the suction and discharge lines for easy maintenance.
4. Electrical Connection:
   • Use a certified electrician to connect the pump to the power source.
   • Follow all local electrical codes and guidelines for safety.
   • Ensure the motor is properly grounded.
5. Priming the Pump:
   • Fill the pump casing with water through the priming port to eliminate air pockets.
   • Ensure all air is purged from the suction line.
6. Testing:
   • Turn on the pump briefly to check for proper rotation (refer to the motor manual).
   • Inspect all connections for leaks or vibrations.
   • Run the pump at full capacity and monitor for stable operation.
7. Maintenance Tips:
   • Regularly inspect the pump for wear or leaks.
   • Clean or replace the mechanical seal and wear rings as needed.
