HAND PAINTED TILES Handpainted ceramic tiles with numbers and letters using dry rope technique (cuerda seca). Perfect to create signs with names addresses or short texts. Select your favorite design and create your unique art piece. MANUFACTURING PROCESS After cutting the tiles, it is traced with a brush the profile of the drawing with a grease material. Then with the help of a pear it is decorated with enamels of different colors. Thanks to the first process of profiling with the grease element, it makes possible that the colors do not mix, giving the relief so characteristic of the pieces are decorated with this technique. Finally, the tiles are cooked in the oven at a temperature of 945C, acquiring the hardness and the final shine. CUERDA SECA TECHNIQUE (Dry Rope) The origin of Cuerda Seca (Dry Rope) technique goes back to medieval times when the great cities of southern Spain, Sevilla and C rdoba, where the main centers of Western art and culture. In this environment expert master ceramists combined two noble materials; gold and enamel, to create extraordinary works of art today appreciated worldwide. The designs of these pieces have a clear geometric muslim influence. HOW TO INSTALL THE TILES 1. Clean the surface. 2. Use adhesive, or contact glue for flat surfaces as wood,glass or plastic. 3. Use tile cement to place tiles in the wall, make sure you keep a small gap between each tile, to permit expansion or contraction. OPTIONAL. You may buy an additional easy hanging iron frame.
