Sikorsky CH-53K King Stallion

The Sikorsky CH-53K King Stallion is a heavy transport helicopter developed by Sikorsky Aircraft for the United States Marine Corps (USMC). It is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the CH-53E Super Stallion, offering enhanced capabilities, especially in terms of lift capacity and operational range. The CH-53K is the most powerful helicopter in the U.S. military, capable of lifting up to 36,000 lbs. (16,329 kg) externally, which is nearly triple the capacity of the CH-53E. As of early 2023, approximately 19 CH-53K King Stallion helicopters had been built. The U.S. Marine Corps currently operates a fleet of 18. Sikorsky is also building 74 more, with some already under contract. The full program of record calls for 200 aircraft.
