Sikorsky H-5

The Sikorsky H-5 (initially designated as the R-5) was a helicopter developed by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.  The S-51 used by the US military services (Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard) under designations such as H-5, HO3S, and HO2S. It saw extensive use in the Korean War for search and rescue (SAR) and casualty evacuation. It also served with other countries including the United Kingdom. Production took place between 1944 and 1951. The H-5 was also produced under license in Britain as the Westland-Sikorsky WS-51 Dragonfly. More than 300 Sikorsky H-5 helicopters were built.
